How this short-drama database is built

The database is organized around stable drama entities and source-backed platform observations rather than mass-created keyword pages.

01

Canonical drama ≠ platform listing

A drama is the work. A listing is an observed platform entry for that work in a particular language, region or edition. One work can therefore connect to multiple platform observations without creating duplicate canonical pages.

02

Factual catalogue source

Syln supplies the factual catalogue observations used by this site. Other external catalogue sources do not contribute to public drama facts.

03

Reuse scope is factual-only

The public database uses factual fields covered by the recorded reuse scope: title, provider/platform, language, episode count, status, identifiers and dates. Source-written synopsis, artwork, subtitles, video and playback/media are excluded.

04

Conflicting facts are not silently overwritten

When compatible observations disagree, the database preserves the disagreement for review instead of simply publishing whichever value arrived last.

05

Identity matching is conservative

Identifiers, titles, episode counts, platforms, languages and edition clues can connect or flag related observations. Distinct works are kept separate unless the evidence supports a reviewed canonical relationship.

06

Observed does not automatically mean published

A record needs a permitted source-backed listing and enough useful factual depth before its public page is eligible for discovery. Thin or uncertain records can remain outside the public catalogue.

07

Freshness is separate from material change

A later observation can confirm that a listing is still current without implying that the public facts changed. Material changes are published in the updates ledger only after review.

08

Market metrics come from retained observations

Historical catalogue movement uses real observations retained over time. “First observed” means first seen by this database, not necessarily the original release date. Cross-platform overlap describes shared observed titles and does not imply ownership, licensing, audience size or market share.

09

Listings remain visibly distinct

A canonical drama can have multiple platform, language and edition observations. The site keeps those observations separate so differences such as episode counts or language labels are not hidden.

10

Public pages are quality-gated

Publication eligibility is checked against factual depth, active source-backed observations and valid canonical relationships. The goal is to avoid thin, contradictory or unsupported public pages.

11

Search and browsing stay focused

Search prioritizes strong title matches, while directories and filters help visitors narrow large catalogues without generating endless low-value page combinations.

12

No video mirroring

The site catalogs factual metadata and lawful destination information. It does not host full episodes, ripped video or unauthorized downloads.
